Symptoms of Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis is inflammation of the plantar fascia (which helps secure the arch of your foot) and results in deep pain at the bottom of the heel. If the inflammation persists for a long time, it leads to calcium being deposited at a point where it affects the heel bone and causes the appearance of a bony heel spur visible through X-rays. If you've been experiencing steep heel pain for a while, get it examined by your doctor. Plantar fasciitis can be seen more in middle-aged or overweight men and women or women who are premenopausal.
